6th edition of the Reims Art Festival
FARaway – Festival des Arts à Reims, from 29/01/25 to 08/02/25.
Every year, more than 150 artists from over 10 countries arond the world come together. With 35 shows and an average of 50 performances over 10 days, the festival takes place on more than 10 stages around the city of Reims and its surrounding area: La cartonnerie / césaré / la comédie / le frac / le manège / nova villa / l’opéra.
The Faraway Festival is a major cultural event in the city of Reims, each year establishing itself as a unique celebration of the performing arts and cultural exchange. This multi-disciplinary festival invites audiences to explore a variety of worlds, where theatre, dance, music and other forms of artistic expression intertwine to tell compelling stories, stir emotions and provoke thought.
Much more than just a festival
Faraway, whose name evokes distant horizons and unexpected discoveries, embodies a philosophy of openness and sharing. Since its inception, Faraway has stood out for its ambition to bring cultures together through works that question the contemporary world. Here, local, national and international artists find a space to push the boundaries of their creativity.
Each edition offers a rich and varied program of shows, performances and installations that challenge conventions. Through original creations and daring collaborations, Faraway transforms Reims into a veritable laboratory for the living arts. Audiences have the chance to discover new works and take part in immersive experiences that put them right at the heart of the artistic process.
This 2025 edition will feature artists from Northern Europe : from the Baltic States to the British Isles, including the Nordic countries.
FARaway 2025 guarentees a sensory and political journey guided by the intersection of artistic disciplines, exploring climate sustainability, the boundary between reality and fiction, our relationship with time and the meaning of our humanity.
With curiosity, artists from Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland, Estonia, Ireland, Finland, the UK and Lithuania will take you on a journey through Reims’ stages, offering unexpected artistic and human encounters for all !
CIS de Champagne is opposite the Comédie and close to all the other cultural venues in Reims! There’s still some availability if you’re looking for accommodation !
